June 03, 2025 · By ShareOps
Nigeria's Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Aliyu Audu, has called on Nigerians to be patient and work together towards long-term economic growth. Speaking on Channels Television's The Beam, Audu cited examples of countries like Singapore and India, which took decades to achieve development. He emphasized the need for collective responsibility and vision in nation-building.
Adu acknowledged Nigeria's complex past, including previous administrations' shortcomings, but urged Nigerians to focus on the future. He highlighted the importance of addressing inflation and creating jobs to improve citizens' purchasing power.
On corruption, Audu stressed that eliminating graft is crucial for national prosperity. He noted that corrupt practices stagnate economic growth by limiting wealth circulation. Adu advocated for a deliberate effort to shame corruption and promote economic liquidity.
By working together and adopting a long-term perspective, Adu believes Nigeria can achieve sustainable development and improve the lives of its citizens.
