Esisi asserted that despite their separation in 2019, she and Chukwujekwu are still technically married, as she has not signed any legal divorce documents. This is a surprising revelation, given the public nature of their split.

Esisi explained that prior to the separation, her former in-laws had advised her against leaving the marriage, citing religious reasons. However, she claims that once Chukwujekwu decided he was “done,” her in-laws suddenly disregarded their previous stance and supported the separation.

“My separation happened way before it became public. I’m not divorced by books. Technically, we are still married. When you say you’re divorced, it means you’ve signed papers, right?” Esisi said during the podcast.
