August 03, 2025 · By Jesus
The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched the Diaspora BRIDGE Platform, a digital innovation designed to connect Nigerian professionals in the diaspora with local tertiary institutions for collaboration in research, teaching, innovation, and capacity building ¹. This platform aims to leverage the expertise of Nigerians abroad to advance national development goals in education, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEM-M) ¹.
The platform features various tools, including:
- *Virtual Seminar Hosting*: Enables diaspora professionals to conduct virtual seminars and workshops for local institutions.
- *E-learning Modules*: Provides access to online courses and educational resources.
- *Collaboration Tracking*: Allows users to track and monitor collaborative projects.
- *Searchable Directory of Experts*: Enables local institutions to find and connect with diaspora professionals with specific expertise ².
The Diaspora BRIDGE Platform is part of President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to restore trust and facilitate partnerships between the diaspora and local institutions
