Elon Musk intensified his criticism of President Trump’s prominent tax and spending legislation, referring to it as "a repulsive monstrosity."

He expressed his disapproval on social media, stating, "Shame on those who supported it; you know it was the wrong decision." This was part of a series of over ten posts he made on the topic on Tuesday afternoon, where he also declared, "Next year, we will remove all politicians who have betrayed the American public."
Musk, along with other tech leaders, has voiced opposition to the bill recently. However, his latest remarks represent a significant escalation and received immediate support from several fiscal conservatives on Capitol Hill.
In response to Representative Massie, who opposed the bill during its recent House vote, Musk emphasized that it was "simple math."
Given Musk's high profile and his recent willingness to fund candidates he favors, his comments are likely to attract attention from lawmakers.
As the largest donor in the 2024 campaign, Musk contributed $288 million, although he has hinted at reducing his political donations in the future.
His remarks also highlight a stark contrast between Musk and Trump in the ongoing discussions in Washington, especially as the president prepares to advocate strongly for the bill's passage, including addressing fiscal conservatives who have criticized its multi-trillion dollar cost.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt commented on Musk's stance, stating, "The president is aware of Elon Musk’s position on this bill, but it does not alter his view."
Representative Thomas Massie from Kentucky was among at least three Republican lawmakers who quickly supported Musk's opinion, stating, "He's correct."
